Hey Reader, Sometimes the best yes, is actually no... Let me explain. You've just nabbed the ULTIMATE resource for Columbus Day (coming up the second Monday of October). This isn't your standard Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria. This Columbus Day resource invites students to recognize a remarkable feat of navigation, investigate the consequences that followed, learn about the Taíno world, and question the myths that grew around Columbus’s legacy. And to top it off, it was FREE. Maybe it needs twelve supplies you don't have. Maybe it turns one interesting question into three days of preparation. Maybe it is a good fit for another family, but it does not match the energy, ages, or needs in your home right now. Free doesn't make it the next right decision. If you can answer yes to all three, you have a strong next step. You do not need a guarantee that every child will love it. The experience only needs to be worth trying. Manageable might mean twenty minutes and supplies you already own. Meaningful might mean a shared laugh or a conversation your family would enjoy. Something new could be one fact, person, place, skill, or question your child has not encountered before.
