Banana Splits for Breakfast?

Hey Reader,

One of my favorite memories as a child was the time I spent the night with my Aunt and Uncle in New Jersey. I slept in late, and when I woke up my aunt had already left for the grocery store.

So, like any hungry kid would do, I asked my Uncle: "What's for breakfast?"

Uncle: "What do you want?"

Me: "Ice Cream."

Uncle: pulls out wallet, hands me cash, and says, "Here - go walk to Gilotti's"

Now, this was in the 1980s when kids could walk a block to the corner ice cream store...and it's inspired me since to give anyone who asks, ice cream for breakfast.

You can use what I put together for you in THIS VIDEO (7 minutes) to make some core ice cream for breakfast memories next week.

*Almost* everything you need I go over in the video. You're welcome!

I want you to see just how easy it is to use the holiday calendar to find, plan, and prep meaningful lessons for your child-led homeschool.

Speaking of PLAN & PREP, the video invites you to join me tomorrow (or any Sunday) at the Busy Bees Plan and Prep, and also to join the Facebook Group where I'll be hosting "Try it Together in September."

I'm doing all the planning and *most* of the prep to help you add these amazing holidays into your homeschool:

LABOR DAY

SUDOKU DAY

TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY

SEPTEMBER EQUINOX

PHILEAS FOGS WAGER DAY (October 2nd)

Whatever ends up on the lesson plans, I hope your homeschool week is filled with memory-making activities. See you tomorrow for Busy Bees Plan and Prep!
